Return of Monster Inoue: Don't Blink

After slaughtering stiff opposition from the get-go, inactive Naoya “Monster” Inoue (only 9-0) returns this weekend to fight next victim David “Severo” Carmona (20-3-5) with the WBC World super flyweight title at stake. The fight will be in Tokyo at the Ariake Colosseum.

Naoya Inoue is a Japanese boxer; he is a former WBC Light flyweight champion and the current WBO Junior bantamweight champion.

One thing that bodes very ill for Carmona is that he was stopped by Omar Andres Narvaez in 2013, while “Monster” dispatched the same Narvaez (40-1 at the time) by KO in 2014. Thus far, the only fighter to go the distance against Inoue has been ultra-tough Ryoichi Taguchi (24-2-1) who is currently on a six-fight win streak.

In a battle between Mexico and Japan, the Japanese fighter will win this one quickly and decisively.
