Two years ago today in NYC, Miguel Cotto hijacked the World Middleweight Championship in an "economically correct" business arrangement with hobbled outgoing champion Sergio Martinez. It's been all downhill since at the expense of, and to the exclusion of, Gennady Golovkin; the real undisputed middleweight champion and top P4P fighter on the planet. Maravilla was a great World Middleweight Champion who respected THE title right up until such time as he sold it out to Cotto at 159 pounds. Cotto lost it to Canelo at a catchweight after defending it at a catchweight. Canelo now reigns at 155 pounds, dropping his claim to the middleweight championship to duck GGG after dropping Amir Khan. The craziest part? Some boxing media, like the compromised American mainstream media, will tell you Canelo is THE champion and Triple G is NOT!
